Service Introduction
Customers can make policy payment with HKD, USD and RMB crossed cheques or bank draft.
Notes
  • Applicable payment types: Renewal Premium Premium Levy Loan Repayment Policy Change Fees
  • - Crossed cheque issued by the policyholder/insured person
    - The cheque should be made payable to: China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited Hong Kong Branch
    - Please indicate the payment reference number (16-digit number) and the policyholder's name on the back of the cheque
    - Mail the cheque to: Customer Service Department, 24th Floor, China Life Building, 313 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
  • The payment will only be valid after the cheque has been successfully cashed.
  • Please allow mailing time and at least 3 working days for our company to process after receiving the cheque.
  • If payment is made by promissory note, please provide a valid receipt with the buyer's name as proof of payment.
  • The cut-off time is considered to be the next business day after the company receives the cheque/draft.

FAQs & Important Notes

When the payment cheque is rejected, the company will send a follow-up letter along with the cheque to the policyholder. The details for the related rejection will be shown in the letter for policyholder handling in a timely manner.

If the payment cheque is rejected and the premium is overdue, but the cash value generated by the policy is greater than the unpaid premium at that time, the automatic policy loan will be exercised to maintain the policy. If the cash value generated by the policy is insufficient to cover the unpaid premium and any applicable interest, the policy will lapse. Policyholders are advised to pay attention to follow-up letters issued by the company and to complete the premium payment within the specified time to avoid affecting the policy's validity.

Yes, after confirming the cheque has been presented, the policyholder will be notified via email or SMS on the following day.
